Facilities at Cumnor Cricket Club

The magnificent facilities at Cumnor include our two story clubhouse, outdoor nets with three lanes, and an artificial match pitch next to our square. The ground boasts a rail mounted double sightscreen at one end, and two traditional screens at the other. There is ample parking, including some overflow capacity available during summer months.

Clubhouse Lounge

The centrally heated clubhouse includes a newly renovated lounge with adjoining kitchen and bar. A large veranda outside looks over the grounds to the countryside beyond.

The clubhouse facilities are available for hire when the club is not using them (most weekdays 8am-4.30pm throughout the year, and all week during our off-season from mid Sept to mid April). We prefer regular users (e.g. the Cumnor Memories Club meets there fortnightly) but can accommodate some one-off hires by the community and business users. We regret we cannot currently accept one-off evening party events.

The club is also able to host “DIY weddings” for the six weeks between mid September and end October, when a marquee can be sited on the outfield and the clubhouse made fully available.

1st Floor Upper Room renovation

On the first floor - currently only accessible by stairs - is a large room which is being extensively renovated in spring 2026 to make it fit for flexible club and community usage. By later in 2026 we intend this facility to be available for community and private hire, as well as wider club usage, subject to successfully completing additional fundraising.

We are particularly keen to hear from any organisation which would like to make regular use of the 1st floor once it is complete. Regular agreements with enough user groups will enable us to complete this project in early summer 2026. It may particularly suit groups running fitness and exercise classes.

Ground floor facilities - increased inclusion and accessibility

Also in 2026/27 we plan to reconfigure and renovate our ground floor WCs and changing facilities to make them more accessible and inclusive, for benefit of both club and community. Plans include the provision of a wheelchair accessible WC, a complete WC refresh, and more inclusive changing room provision. More details about this project and its funding requirements will be announced during the 2026 season.
