Junior Cricket
We have a very successful and constantly growing junior section and enter teams into inter-club competitions at all age groups from U11s right up to U19s. We also have thriving All Stars and Dynamos programmes on Friday nights.
We welcome both boys and girls of all abilities. Our juniors train in all disciplines and aspects of cricket and this enables them to represent the club in softball festivals or hardball league and cup matches throughout the summer, with many of our stronger players invited to participate in the Oxfordshire County Pathway at the end of the season. Many of our juniors play in our senior representative teams as well.
Training
Our juniors train on Tuesday (mixed hardball for U11/13/15), Thursday (girls hardball) and Friday evenings (All Stars and Dynamos) throughout the cricket season. Find their specific training time using the drop downs at the bottom of this web page.
Pre-season indoor nets are at Cothill House School on Sunday evenings (u11-U15) beginning on 15th February.

Cumnor CC will be running a 10 week programme starting May 8th and ending July 10th from 5.30pm to 6.30pm every Friday.
All Stars Cricket provides a fantastic first experience for all children aged 5-8 years old where they’re guaranteed 10 weeks of jam-packed fun, activity and skills development. The programme is designed to introduce children to the sport, teaching them new skills, helping them make new friends and have a great time doing so.
Every child that registers will receive a backpack full of goodies. Your child’s pack will include: Backpack, Cricket bat, Cricket ball and a Personalised t-shirt with your child’s name.
Cost: £60. Free personalised T-shirt and kit bag.

Our sessions will start on Friday 17th April and will run between 6.45 and 8.00 pm until 10th July. Upon signing up, your child will receive a personalised Dynamos T Shirt, and all kit will be supplied by the club.
Dynamos Cricket provides a fantastic next step for all those graduating from All Stars Cricket and the perfect introduction for all 8-11 year-olds (primarily years 3 and 4) new to the sport! We also run our girls U11 softball team as part of the Dynamos programme.
At Cumnor we love taking part in this action packed and fun filled programme, with its new competitive format of Countdown Cricket.

Girls have their own dedicated hardball training sessions on Thursdays and are also welcome to train with the relevant boys age group if they want to.
In 2026 we will also have an U11 hardball squad, though U11 girls may continue to play softball under the ‘Dynamos’ umbrella on Friday evenings.
We have entered our U11, U13, U15 and U18 girls for competitive girls’ matches. Girls are also welcome to play competitive games with the boys in either their own age group or ‘down’ one age group, if they prefer.
We are also entering a number of senior women’s teams playing in competitions both midweek and on Sundays, which our girls are welcome to participate in.
U11/13 hardball girls-only training sessions for years 5-8 on Thursday nights from 5.30-6.30pm from 16th April until 9th July.
U15/18 girls will train alongside our women’s squad from 6.45-8pm also on these Thursdays.
