Cumnor CC is proud to have a team of highly qualified coaches with excellent cricketing pedigrees and a wealth of experience across various disciplines. Many of our club coaches are also available for private 1:1 coaching. Contact them using the details below.

  • George Setterfield

    George is an ECB level 3 coach and in 2025 takes on the role of head coach leading our Tuesday U11/U13/U15 hardball and Thursday Women and Girls coaching, as well as continuing his role running our summer academies. He is also coach to the Oxfordshire Women’s team.

    George is Head of Junior School Sport at Magdalen College School.

    George is famous for a number of cricketing exploits at Cumnor including that over in a 2024 Cherwell 1 match. Ask him about it.

  • Anthony Shorter

    Antony is an ECB level 2 coach and has coached and lead the junior programs at the club and has lead various sports programs for primary aged children over an 14 year period. He has been coaching on the Oxfordshire Player Pathway for 6 seasons, and is currently studying for his Level 3 qualifications.

    On the pitch Anthony enjoyed a stellar 2024 season. He particularly enjoys run chases at East & West Hendred!

    Antony is a self employed level 3 personal trainer who focuses on injury recovery/prevention, strength and conditioning and general health and wellbeing for people of all ages and abilities.

    Antony is available for private cricket coaching and personal training sessions.
