Cumnor CC is proud to have a team of highly qualified coaches with excellent cricketing pedigrees and a wealth of experience across various disciplines. Many of our club coaches are also available for private 1:1 coaching. Contact them using the details below.

  • George Setterfield

    George is an ECB level 3 coach and in 2026 continues in the role of head coach. He will lead our Tuesday U11/U13/U15 hardball coaching, and remain involved with the Thursday Women and Girls coaching. He will again be running our summer academies. He is also coach to the Oxfordshire Women’s team.

    George is Head of Junior School Sport at Magdalen College School.

    George is famous for a number of cricketing exploits at Cumnor including that over in a 2024 Cherwell 1 match. Ask him about it.

  • Anthony Shorter

    Antony is an ECB level 3 coach and has coached and lead the junior programs at the club and has lead various sports programs for primary aged children over a 15 year period. He has been coaching on the Oxfordshire Player Pathway for 8 seasons.

    On the pitch Anthony will be skippering the 3rd XI Squad in 2026. He particularly enjoys run chases at East & West Hendred!

    Antony is also a self employed level 3 personal trainer who focuses on injury recovery/prevention, strength and conditioning and general health and wellbeing for people of all ages and abilities.

    Antony is available for private cricket coaching and personal training sessions.

  • Noah Hilton-Dew

    Hi, I’m Noah, and this will be my 11th year at Cumnor. I joined as a junior in Year 6 and worked my way through the age groups before breaking into senior cricket with the 3rd XI a few years later.

    Along the way, I’ve been lucky enough to win county cups at U14, U16 and U17 level (all against Horspath!) and to captain the Sunday SAS side, which plays a vital role in bridging junior and senior cricket at the club.

    In 2024 I qualified as an ECB Level 2 Core Coach. This year, I’ll be leading our All Stars and Dynamos programmes, as well as captaining the Men’s Second XI on Saturdays. It’s an exciting time for Cumnor with changes across all three senior sides and a real push to bring more young players through into senior cricket. I’m proud and excited to be part of that transition. Exciting times to be a Bear!
