Summer Academies

What are they?

The popular Summer Academy programme is running again for 3 weeks with cricket coaching for boys and girls in both younger and older age brackets.

There are 3 hour morning or afternoon sessions, plus some all day options as well in weeks 2 and - possibly - week 3.

Led again by George Setterfield, head of cricket at Bloxham School, supported this year by Ben Fulford, the club’s overseas 1st XI player and other qualified coaches from Cumnor cricket club.

When are they?

Weeks of 24th July, 31st July* and 7th August** - Monday to Friday.

Softball sessions: 9:00-12:00 for years 1-4
Hardball sessions: 13:00-16:00 for years 5-9

*Week 2 also has an all-day softball-only option for those who wish to have their children stay morning, lunch and afternoon.

**We might have an all-day hardball-only option in week 3 if there is enough interest: see below.

How much is it?

£22 per day or £99 per week for half day options
£44 per day and £198 per week for all-day options
Additional 10% discount for current Cumnor CC members (including our All Stars and Dynamos).

A limited number of bursaries are available to support those otherwise unable to attend. Please apply via the President’s Fund here.

How do I book?

New to Cumnor CC? Then first register your child here as a ‘guest’ member.

Once registered, choose a week from the list below, and book the days you need. Select the week (or ‘series’), and deselect any days (or ‘instances’) you don’t want.

We will then check and confirm your booking and then a payment request will be issued. Places are only guaranteed upon full payment.

Week of 31st July morning: Softball
Week of 31st July afternoon: Hardball (9+)
Week of 31st July all-day: Softball only option
Week of 7th August morning: Softball
Week of 7th August afternoon: Hardball (9+)
