D'Overbroeck's College
A co-educational independent school in Oxford for students aged 11-18
A warm welcome from the Principal, Kate Perry
“We’re often asked what it is that makes d’Overbroeck’s different from other schools. The answer, I think, lies in our shared values and a relaxed but vibrant atmosphere, where the individual is key and laughter is an essential part of everyday life.
The ethos at d’Overbroeck’s is firmly built on personal relationships, on a relative lack of stuffiness and formal hierarchies, and on a strong belief that the individual, every individual, is at the heart of the school.
At the same time, our approach is emphatically collaborative. We believe in leading by example, in a healthy dose of flexibility and in the power of laughter and humanity. ‘Enthusiasm’, ‘maturity’ and ‘courtesy’ are words that very frequently feature in the observations of visitors to the school.”

Volunteering at CCC
As a club run purely by volunteers and non-profit making we always rely heavily on the generous spirit of people volunteering to help out at the club.
There are many ways you could help and we would really love to hear from you if you can. Some of the areas we are always looking for support are:
NatWest Cricket Force Day
2021 – Due to Covid restrictions season opening will be by informal small groups only over a series of days in early April. Contact Joe Dale.
This is the day we give the clubhouse and grounds and cricket facilities a spruce up and make repairs where required in preparation for the season ahead. It usually takes place in late March or early April and will be well advertised.
We need help anywhere from sweeping the car park, cutting back hedges, painting, cleaning and preparing the cricket facilities for use.
We provide free catering all day and its great fun working together in a big team – many hands do make short work of our task list so any help – even an hour is very much appreciated.
Team managers for junior cricket age groups
We are always in need of parents to help run teams across all age groups. This involves managing and coordinating team availability and attending match days with the age group you look after.
Parents who do help as mangers get a 50% discount on their own child’s membership fees as well as a discount on one summer academy place.
Skilled labour
Running a clubhouse, as well as the grounds, always involves works which are expensive and necessary, and we would always prefer to reinvest any monies we have into the cricket aspects of the club. We have an endless maintenance and repair list but sadly not endless funds!
In an effort to keep costs down we would ask anyone out there who is willing to provide their skilled time for free or at a discount to please get in touch.
We are always looking for:
Decorators – internal and external
Plumbers and heating engineers
Electricians
Carpenters
Tree surgeons
DIY help
We will happily promote your company on our website and social media and at our grounds if you can offer us any regular help.
