The President’s Fund

At Cumnor Cricket Club we are committed to diversity and inclusiveness in our membership and equality of access to our sport and the club’s activities.

The aim of the President’s Fund is to enable everyone to enjoy and engage with all the facilities and opportunities offered by Cumnor Cricket Club regardless of their financial situation. It will support juniors and seniors alike. It will also support both current and potential new members.

The objectives of the Fund are:

  1. to help those who without support might drop out of the club altogether

  2. to support those who might have to limit their participation due to financial constraints

The Fund may offer support with:

  • Essential equipment and kit

  • Membership and match fees

  • Transport costs to training and matches

  • Coaching, nets and summer academy places

This list is not exhaustive and the Fund will consider requests for help in other areas. Support will always be in kind and will never be in cash. The President’s Fund will always try to help where it can, however it cannot guarantee support if demand is high and funding limited.

Anyone can bring forward a case to the Fund committee for review. The Fund will treat each request for support on a case-by case basis. Any awards made from the Fund will be entirely at the President’s Fund committee’s discretion.

The Committee understands that it can be difficult for those who need help to ask for support. Every case and all awards will be handled with complete confidentiality.

We also welcome donations specifically to this Fund.  Donations will be ring fenced by the club, and a summary of donations and expenditures for the Fund will be reported in the club’s annual accounts.  To donate, please contact either the President or the club Treasurer.
