Cumnor Kwiks 2018 League Champions
Cumnor Kwiks Crowned 2018 League Champions!
Cumnor Kwiks triumphed recently at the Kwik Competition held at Abingdon Vale CC. The final round of Sunday matches culminated in a finals day knock out competition with the top 4 teams in the league playing in a semi-final and then a final to determine this seasons champion team.
Cumnor beat Wootton and Boars Hill by 10 runs in a tight contest and progressed through to the final against local rivals Kingston Bagpuize.
Batting first Cumnor batted well, didn’t lose any wickets and set a challenging total of 253 runs. Kingston lost 2 wickets in their first over and were always up against it from there on and thanks to some very accurate Cumnor Bowling and some great fielding, won by 15 runs.
This was a fantastic end to a great season and a testament to the strength of Junior Cricket at Cumnor CC. We managed to field over 20 different boys and girls in our team over the course of the 8 weeks and all contributed to the success of Kwiks in 2018. Well done all!
Dylan Driscol selected for EPP
Dylan has been selected for the 2018 Emerging Player Programme (EPP).
Only seven youth players are selected from under 13’s to under 17’s. This gives them 5 hours of intense training per week through the winter, with matches against other counties EPP in the summer.
The programme is run in partnership with Sussex county cricket.
We wish Dylan the very best and congratulations.

U13 County Champions 2017
Our U13 boys were crowned County Champions 2017 of the ECB National Club Championship at Bicester and North Oxford. They beat Horspath in a close fought final. A great team effort.
Well done to all the boys on a great performance.
Maiden County 50 and now 135 Not Out!
Dylan Driscoll – County 135 not out!
Dylan Driscoll batted beyond his years as he was left 135 not out as he helped his Boys U10 county side post a staggering 270-5 from their 40 overs against Norfolk. The score on its own is a quite incredible achievement, especially at such a young age but when you hear he scored his runs from 103 balls hitting 17 fours and 3 sixes it is even more impressive. Well done!
Dylan Driscoll from our U10 year group and member of the Oxfordshire U10 County team scored his Maiden County 50 against Devon. Congratulations from all at CCC on such a great achievement. Well done and best of luck in future games.
Joe Clapton 100 not out.

‘Mannering 18, claimed 5/23 and Ackland 17 scored an unbeaten 51 as CCC beat last years National Finalists.
